Morning Shift

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper
• Review medical documentation to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for medical services
• Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to resolve billing issues
• Communicate with insurance companies to appeal denied claims and negotiate payment agreements
• Monitor claim status and track reimbursements for services rendered
• Provide assistance and clarification to patients regarding their medical bills and insurance coverage
• Answer inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance claims, and payment options
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all billing transactions and communications
• Generate reports on billing activities, including claim submissions, payments, and outstanding balances
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines, such as HIPAA and CPT coding standards
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and insurance representatives to resolve billing discrepancies and optimize revenue cycle management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a medical biller or similar role in a healthcare setting
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of medical coding systems, such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Familiarity with insurance claims processing and reimbursement procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and insurance providers
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) is preferred but not required
