We are seeking a meticulous and talented Copy Editor to refine and enhance our written materials. This role involves editing print and digital content to improve readability, enforce our brand voice and ensure that all documents are error-free.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and edit content for grammar, punctuation, accuracy, style, structure and coherence.
• Ensure that all documents meet internal and external guidelines and standards.
• Carefully review the text to ensure consistency in overall style throughout the document.
• Check for common errors such as misplaced commas, incorrect font sizes or improper alignment.
• Collaborate with writers, designers and marketing staff to hone content quality.
• Adjust voice and tone of content to align with different platforms and target audiences.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Provide constructive feedback to content creators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or a related field.
• Experience in copy editing for newspapers and magazines is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a copy editor or similar role.
• Strong command of English grammar and punctuation.
• Familiarity with style guides such as the Chicago Manual of Style and Associated Press.
• Excellent attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday / 9:00 pm to 6:00 am

This job offer can be based either in Makati, Quezon City or Cebu City depending on your home base / location.

Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.
