Job Description

• Assists the Executive Housekeeper in interviewing and hiring of all laundry colleagues.
• Assists management with proper, adequate training and re-training of all laundry colleagues.
• Coordinates with housekeeping and F&B departments the availability of their adequate supply of their requirements for linens and uniforms.
• Assists with weekly/monthly inventories, with timely reporting to Accounting.
• Ensures that other expenses are kept within budgeted guidelines, through monitoring of colleagues handling and usage of supplies and equipment.
• Approves requirements, time sheets, maintenance orders and accomplish monthly production report and other inter-office memos.
• Responsible for proper quality control and daily monitoring of colleagues.
• Performs timely and fair performance appraisal of all colleagues.
• Personally monitors all guest complaints, requests, inquiries, etc.
• Orders chemicals and supplies for machinery and equipment.
• Monitors and coordinates all maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment to engineering department.
• To plan and schedule the daily work activities of the colleagues to meet resort and guests’ requirements, considering the occupancy and forecast.
• To administer operations and activities of the Laundry Department.
• To establish policies, procedures, objectives and work standards in accordance with the company’s standards.
• To ensure efficient and economical processing of laundry operation.

• College graduate of any four (4) year course with good scholastic records
• Five (5) years’ work experience in the same capacity in a 5 Star Hotel/Resort
• At least two (2) years’ experience in managerial position and three (3) years in supervisory position
• Organization and people skills
• Managerial / leadership skills
• Good written and oral English communication skills
