Role Purpose
Reporting to the VP Head of WPB Digital for MNL, the role is responsible for commercialising the digital journeys and increasing the sales contribution of digital channels for HSBC Philippines such as through the HSBC public website, online banking, mobile banking app, campaign online forms including via external digital sources such as social media platforms, search engines, and the like. More specifically, the role holder will:
- Be responsible for the end-to-end digital sales journey, including building the necessary journey and looking for ways to optimise the sales funnel while aiming to improve customer experience across the digital originations, ultimately to increase digital sales contributions for WPB.
- Work closely with MNL Sales, Customer and Marketing and Product team (Wealth, Lending, etc.), as well as with regional and global stakeholders across Digital, Marketing, Value Streams, and IT, to drive journey efficiencies and increase sales.
Impact on the Business
- Ensure digital sales targets are met organically.
- Increase the sales contribution of organic digital channels to total WPB sales volumes.
- Sales Engine Optimization and Key word audits that will drive higher organic views/productivity.
- Own the end-to-end digital sales journey, primarily the digital originations, while identifying opportunities to optimise and streamline.
- Improve customer experience in relation to digital sales journeys
- Do daily monitoring of the sales funnel for all relevant products and ensure each step of the sales funnel is progressing optimally
- Do leads management tasks in coordination with Customer & Marketing and Product owners
- Coordinate the development and implementation of digital tools such as online forms that are critical to the sales fulfillment process
- Consolidate metrics / sales MI and provide analysis in line with the sales objectives
- Identify digital innovations that can be used in the sales journeys
- Build strong relationships, both locally and regionally, adopting a joined-up approach to execute change at pace with minimum conflict
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, Sales, Products, Marketing, Global/ASP Digital and Marketing teams, Branches, Contact Centre, and DBS (including IT).
- Provide expertise on the subject matter across all aspects of area of responsibility
- Demonstrate the HSBC values of being dependable, open and connected on a day-to-day basis, and promote a culture of diversity
- Build a culture of collaboration and integration between all stakeholders involved in the end-to-end digital channels journey
- Promote continuous improvement and experimentation, constantly looking for ways to simplify and streamline.
- Regular review to identify key risks, issues and interdependencies. Determine and apply appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Adhere to the HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal /external auditors and external regulators
- Manage operational risk within the relevant tasks including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with the Group Operations FIM.
- Extensive experience and knowledge in digital sales journeys, sales funnel management, Search Engine Optimisation, key word audits, on-page optimization, positive user experience, growing site traffic and build organic awareness
- Must have an understanding and appreciation of using digital channels to acquire and serve customers across different platforms
- Must be a problem-solver, decision maker with the ability to create and strategize relevant and engaging content
- Must be able to test and learn various digital marketing techniques to come up with the best approach to drive digital sales
- Highly developed communication and influencing skillset.
- Experience in managing resources to achieve objectives, using appropriate delegation and planning skills
- Customer focused, results-based approach, able to deliver to deadlines and can demonstrate flexibility when addressing shifting or competing priorities
- Must have good business acumen with an eye for anticipating changing customer behaviour and experience to drive results
- Self-motivated with passion for innovation to deliver incremental value to the business
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating strategy into actions
- Knowledge on retail banking and regulations
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
