Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Full-Time Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, proficiency with Xero, and experience with various financial and project management tools. This remote role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage financial tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bill Entry: Accurately enter and manage bills in the accounting system.
  • Invoice Follow-Ups: Follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile transactions in Xero to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll in Xero, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts using Microsoft Excel.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate weekly financial reports to provide insights into the company’s financial status.
  • Batch Payments: Prepare batch payments for bills and payroll processing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members using tools like Teams, Deputy, and Monday.com to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an Australian company.
  • Education: Qualified Accountant or currently studying Accountancy.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Xero is essential.
  • Experience with Buildxact, Deputy, Monday.com, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
