General Accountant

Join our growing team at BCM One, a global leader in telecommunications, as a Finance Specialist. The Finance Specialist will serve as an essential support function within the corporate finance team, directly reporting to the Director of Finance in our Makati City office. The position will primarily focus on managing financial documentation for day-to-day business operations. Key responsibilities include conducting monthly bank reconciliations, facilitating and preparing for audits, processing vendor payments, reconciling accruals, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and at least 1 years of experience in Finance. This role can grow into many different positions within the Finance team.

Work Locations:

This position will be hybrid based out of our office in Makati City, Philippines. We are typically in the office 3 days per week with WFH the other 2 days. This is subject to change based on the demands of the position and company.

Hours:

Night Shift - 9pm to 6am local. (9am to 6pm Eastern US business hours.)

What You Will Do:

• Process and record vendor invoices, petty cash replenishment, government remittances, final pay, etc., in various portals and software systems.
• Payroll processing.
• Liaise with banks & government agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Local Government Unit & others.
• Interact and liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Issuance of BIR Form 2307 to vendors.
• Monitor & collect copies of official receipts from vendors for paid invoices.
• Maintain and keep a hard copy of the files and documentation.
• Assist in month-end closing (accruals, reconciliation, & other tasks).
• Manage employee receivables (HMO, maternity reimbursements & others).
• Review and process cash advances, liquidation, and reimbursements.
• Maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
• Undertake a range of more complex projects including technical support tasks, data compilation, reconciliation, research, and analysis, and make recommendations for improvement to processes, procedures, and systems.
• Take on other duties for the Finance team as required.
• Ensure confidentiality and professional integrity are upheld at all times.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the manager.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy.
• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel.
• Demonstrates understanding of general accounting processes and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrate the highest level of integrity, honesty, and accountability.
• Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
• The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
