Job Title: Public Relations Manager - Infrastructure Construction Project

Position Summary:

The Public Relations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to maintain a positive public image for our infrastructure construction project. This role involves managing relationships with stakeholders, media, and the community to ensure effective communication and understanding of the projects goals and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, NGOs, and other relevant entities.

- Act as a liaison between the project and external stakeholders to address concerns and ensure open communication channels.

2. Media Relations:

- Develop and execute media relations strategies to enhance the projects visibility and ensure accurate reporting.

- Prepare press releases, statements, and other communication materials.

- Coordinate interviews and media events, and act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.

3. Community Outreach:

- Plan and implement community engagement programs to foster a positive relationship between the project and the local community.

- Address community concerns, provide project updates, and gather feedback to inform project decisions.

4. Crisis Management:

- Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan to address potential issues promptly and effectively.

- Act as the spokesperson for the project during crises, providing accurate information to the public and media.

5. Internal Communication:

- Ensure effective communication within the project team.

- Develop internal newsletters, announcements, and other materials to keep team members informed and engaged.

6. Event Management:

- Plan and coordinate events, such as groundbreaking ceremonies, project milestones, and community forums.

- Ensure that events align with the projects overall communication strategy.

7. Brand Management:

- Protect and enhance the projects brand by ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity.

- Monitor media coverage and public perception, and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

- Proven experience in public relations, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Crisis management experience is a plus.

- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for media monitoring and communication.
