Contract Creative Gaming Writer

SRU Productions is looking for a contracted Creative Writer to write our Minecraft story-based content. This person would be writing for the Youtube channel, “Fozo”. This channel is a fictional “100 Days in Hardcore Minecraft” channel, and specializes in its roleplay/fun story-telling abilities. This position requires great adapting skills, fast learning curves, experience with modded Minecraft, and the ability to deliver one full story/outline every week. This story when fully produced will make a 45 minute video. These stories are for a younger audience and curated to appeal to that audience, so they must be simple, fun, and visually oriented. If you are interested in YouTube and enjoy creative work this could be a great opportunity for you! As an independent contractor this position pays $120.00 per story, each story takes anywhere from 13-14 hours to write once up to speed. The pay per story does include doing revisions to meet the creative vision.

Responsibilities:

• Create outlined stories based on video titles and a brief description
• Review notes and make changes according to feedback
• Deliver work product on a consistent deadline driven basis
• Research previous Fozo content to achieve the correct writing style - research more recent content

Requirements:

• 4+ Years of experience with modded Minecraft (mostly Forge)
• Knowledge of Minecraft mod research, and mod testing
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Strong creative understanding of emotions/drive and how to incorporate them in stories for a younger audience
• Willingness to take feedback and adjust as needed
• Familiarity with different writing styles and ability to adapt to different writing styles - this is key!
• Fan of YouTube, Minecraft, and storytelling
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Pay: Php410.99 per hour
