Job Description
The Investment Associate is responsible for assisting superiors in meeting the company’s targets for investment income and fund level; preparing all investment documentations and reports; coordinating with authorized banks, investment houses, brokerage firms, stock transfer agents, 3rd party custodian, external auditors, Insurance Commission, and other government agencies; analyzing investment prospects and making recommendations to support superiors’ investment decisions.
Manages Fixed Income Portfolio and Investment Properties of the company
Canvass rates, prices and available fixed income securities from counterparties. Recommends securities based on comparative rates.
Monitors roll-over and maturities of all investment on Fixed Income Securities. Initiates placements on fixed income investments such as Government Securities and Corporate Bonds. Monitors dividends and interest payments and ensures proper recording and booking.
Processes the lodgment of investments sold and bought through PDTC and BTR systems.
Processes the settlement and placement of investments through preparing payment request, request for official receipt issuance from Cash Management, ensuring accurate entries and amount are placed.
Recommends real estate properties that the company may intend to invest in.
Initiates marketing plans on the sale of real estate properties.
Handles all documentations related to the management of the company’s real estate properties.
Performs monthly reconciliation of reports with Accounting and other relevant units.
Prepares regular internal and external Investment Reports and ad-hoc reports as necessary.
Researches and prepares report on company, market, other types of possible investments and economic updates as needed.
Acts as primary liaison with Banks, Investment Houses, Stock Brokers, external auditor and various government agencies such as the Insurance Commission, BIR, Assessor’s Office, Registry of Deeds, etc.
Administers matters such as IC, internal and external auditor requirements, submission, documentation and other regulatory and related matters.
Assists superior in the development and implementation investment guidelines and procedures.
Participates in trainings and courses related to finance, economics and investment management.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Math, Accountancy or any related courses
