Role Summary:

As a Remote IT Support Specialist at Peak Design, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of their IT systems and providing remote technical assistance. This position offers a unique opportunity to work from anywhere, supporting a diverse team from design CAD engineers, and marketing to sales.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, helpdesk, or Slack.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for desktops, laptops (mostly Mac), printers, and other peripherals via Remote Desktop.
  • Assist in Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications, operating systems, and network-related issues.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords within Okta.
  • Collaborate with other members to deploy and upgrade hardware and software systems.
  • Perform routine system maintenance and ensure data backups are conducted regularly.
  • Assist with Cisco/Unifi network and server maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Document support processes, solutions, and FAQs for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in an IT services/helpdesk environment
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and resourceful
  • Strong problem solver
  • Organized, like writing details notes and summaries
  • Clear communicator
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
