Key Responsibilities:

- Review and resolve outstanding insurance balances and patient accounts. - Communicate with insurance companies to follow up on denied or unresolved claims. - Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for claim resolution. - Post payments and process adjustments and refunds accurately and in a timely manner. - Maintain detailed records of all interactions and resolutions. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. - Identify trends and patterns in denials and provide feedback for process improvements.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections. * In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and regulations. * Proficiency in Athena medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Detail-oriented and highly organized.
