Job Title: Proofreader/Technical WriterLocation: RemoteType: ContractorReports To: Project Manager or Lead Analyst

OverviewWere looking for a meticulous, design-savvy editor who thrives on polishing content and bringing structure to complex documents. In this role, youll play a key part in turning research, data, and legal analysis into a clean, visually consistent, and professional final report.

What Youll Do

  • Review and edit draft documents for grammar, style, tone, consistency, and clarity
  • Format long-form Word documents to ensure consistent layout, headings, spacing, and styles
  • Extract data tables and visualizations from Excel and integrate them seamlessly into Word, maintaining clean alignment, visual clarity, and styling
  • Apply proper formatting for citations, footnotes, appendices, and other document elements
  • Ensure documents meet all formatting guidelines and submission requirements (e.g., PDF/Word export standards)
  • Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and writers to finalize sections for consistency and readability
  • Refine visual elements like charts, tables, and pull quotes to enhance reader comprehension
  • Manage version control and help track changes during the review process

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in editing or document production, preferably in public policy, research, consulting, or government-related work
  • Excellent attention to detail and a sharp eye for layout, formatting, and flow
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (especially styles, formatting, and review tools)
  • Experience working with Excel-based tables and visuals

Bonus Points

  • Experience supporting disparity studies or other public sector research projects
  • Background in desktop publishing, graphic design, or document layout

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php345.00 - Php401.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
