Job Title/Role: Workday Developer
Integration/reporting/development Lead
Looking for a Workday Developer with expertise in integration development using Workday Studio and app development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, testing and deploying integrations and apps on the Workday platform. Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is required, as well as an understanding of HR business cycles and processes to ensure effective integration solutions. We are seeking a team member with a passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with new technologies. In this position, you will be part of a small team of developers, business systems analysts and security administrators working closely together to deliver solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integration between Workday and external payroll system, benefits providers, stock and retirement providers, Workforce management, as well as internal downstream systems.
- Design, Build, Test, and Deploy Workday Integration solutions using Custom Reports, EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformations, XSLT and Workday Studio for various functional areas including HCM, Benefits, Payroll etc.
- Design, build, test and deploy Workday applications.
- Help the Business Systems Analysts gather and define requirements from our internal customers. Derive the technical requirements through questions that guide the development process.
- Translate requirements into a detailed technical specification to meet business goals.
- Complete design documentation and review the development of solutions specified in technical design.
- Ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule, priority, and business objectives.
- Unit and system test the solution. Provide test files to external providers.
- Participate in proof-of-concept development, demos, and post-deployment support of cross-team integration efforts.
- Follow the change process before deploying new solutions or modifications.
- Collaborate with internal and external technical experts to develop and implement solutions.
- Work within a team to establish best practices in services development and integration of applications.
- Learn and adopt new technologies; active upskilling is part of this position.
- Associating with worldwide HR teams to ensure successful design of system and provide documentation for each phase of the development life cycle
- Configuring security roles/framework;
- Developing complex calculated fields to meet business requirements.
- Participate in Workday Incident Management Rotation.
- Modifying workflow changes, functionality and adding users to Workday
- Providing support to end-users of the Workday platform
- Supporting the change order process
- Providing production support for the Workday platform and its integration points with other software and modules
- Participate in proof-of-concept development, demos, and post-deployment support of cross-team integration efforts.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years professional experience developing Workday integrations using the following:
- Workday Studio
- Web Services / APIs
- XSLT
- EIB
- Document Transformations
- Workday Application Development
- JSON
- REST
- SOAP
- WSDL
- Cloud Connectors
- Workday Configurable Security
- Knowledge of basic HR, Finance and Payroll concepts and business cycles
- Experience creating inbound and outbound integrations for benefits providers, learning content providers, stock and retirement providers.
- Experience developing webservices to automate data loads.
- Must be an avid learner, ready and willing to take the initiative to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Must have a balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills.
- 3+ years advanced work, Workday Finance and HCM experience
- Experience with highly complex integrations preferably between HR, Payroll, Benefits Partners using Workday tools.
- Good knowledge of HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Security Administration and Business Process Configuration
- Strong working knowledge of Workday Studio Development.
- Strong working knowledge of Workday EIB, RaaS, and Web Services.
- Strong working knowledge of SOAP, REST, XML and XSLT, Java
- Strong working knowledge of BIRT preferred
- Workday integrations experience required with a good understanding of integration design and testing concepts and integration frameworks (e.g., middleware, transformation logic)
- Data conversion concepts and impacts on business processes (such as Workday iLoads)
- Requires general direction, defines necessary tasks to achieve outcomes
- Can perform multiple tasks of moderate and advance complexity
- Performs infrastructure and technology design of assigned projects
- Regularly performs peer code reviews and coaches others in area of expertise; acts as a leader
- Coordinates technical activities
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field or the equivalent experience plus 4+ years of relevant work experience.
