Required Experience: > Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle > Extensive knowledge of Microsoft T-SQL > Extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL > Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services > Deep understanding of query execution plans > Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development using SQL > Minimum 5+ years in administrating transactional RDBS systems in high load environments > Minimum 3+ years of working with RDBMS systems handling greater then 100 GB === Primary Objective: Development, configuration and quality control of software running in RDBMS. DATABASE ADMINISTRATION > Configure and maintain MS SQL Server and Oracle databases for development and quality control > Perform upgrades, backups, restores and performance tuning > Implement and manage database security, including user roles and privileges > Monitor database health and resolve issues proactively > Support and guidance teams to ensure efficient database operations and troubleshooting. SQL DEVELOPMENT > Design and develop stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. > Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and data extraction. > Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into applications. QUALITY CONTROL > Design and perform functional, performance and integration tests > Identifying potential risks and issues that could impact product delivery, developing risk mitigation plans, and implementing appropriate measures to minimize risks. > Timely escalation of risks and issues that affect systems quality. DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE > Maintain detailed documentation of database structures, configurations, and procedures. > Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations TRAINING AND SUPPORT > assist with setup/troubleshooting SQL/Oracle databases > Share best practices and knowledge on database setup, configuration, and maintenance to enhance team capabilities and performance.
