We are seeking a seasoned Tax Head with a strong foundation in Philippine taxation, customs importation, and general finance. This role is critical to the organizations finance leadership team and is part of the succession pipeline for the Head of Accounting & Finance.

You will oversee tax strategy, compliance, and customs-related processes while collaborating closely with Treasury, Accounting, and Business Analytics teams. A high level of maturity in stakeholder management is required, as you will interact with senior executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the overall tax function, including compliance, planning, reporting, and audits
• Oversee customs and importation-related requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations (BIR, DOF, BOC, etc.)
• Collaborate across functions to ensure tax efficiency in business operations, including import processes
• Provide strategic guidance on tax implications for business initiatives
• Monitor and manage changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation of compliant practices
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes from a tax and financial reporting standpoint
• Mentor and manage a team of 23 tax specialists/supervisors
• Work closely with Treasury, Accounting, and Advisory teams to provide tax insight
• Participate in succession planning discussions for future leadership roles

QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPA license is required
• With relevant experience in taxation, customs/importation, and general finance
• Experience working with automotive companies is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR rulings, customs processes, and audit procedures
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and treasury operations
• Experience managing or leading tax teams in a structured corporate setting
• Proven ability to manage relationships with cross-functional and cross-cultural stakeholders
• Maturity and strategic insight suitable for leadership succession planning
