Job Overview & Your Working Environment

As a Change Portfolio Consultant II, you will manage the change portfolio and the grooming of the Portfolio Backlog, its programmes/projects, and the prioritized order of execution to deliver a successful transformational portfolio to the business in accordance with the organization's vision and strategy.

You will be part of the Operational Excellence Team working closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that change initiatives are aligned with strategic objectives, executed efficiently, and deliver measurable business value. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Project Management

  • Manage the delivery of feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to the development and continuous review of business cases.
  • Execute and deliver elements of the digital roadmap, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation.
  • Support strategy formulation for digital transformation by exploring how information technology can be used to help the organization become more responsive to customer needs and changing business requirements.
  • Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
  • Ensure project compliance with the organization's wider program and/or portfolio management decision-making structures and processes.
  • Deliver baseline assessments and post-implementation analyses to evaluate and track the realization of business benefits.
  • Manage the deployment of project resources, proactively managing project costs, providing forecasts, and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships and ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.

  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, ensuring own work and team adherence to required standards.
  • Take appropriate action to report and resolve patterns of noncompliance, escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
