This is a unique opportunity to be part of a Data Platform journey. We have implemented our new architecture based on Microsoft Synapse Analytics and Power BI and we are looking into the next step in the transformation to Microsoft Fabric.

Your primary focus will be designing, building and implementing a scalable and Unified Data and Analytics Platform together with other colleagues in the Data & Analytics team where you will have a unique opportunity to influence the outcome.

The Data & Analytics team is responsible for guiding and supporting the whole organization in their journey to become more data driven in their decision making. We are working with Agile principles to organize our work and have adopted agile ceremonies to improve our ways of working.

The Data & Analytics team is part of Group IT where we are approximately 75 employees. The Data & Analytics team consists currently of 5 members and is part of the Business Solutions department consisting of 32 colleagues. We are a diverse team with many nationalities, located around the world.

What you will be responsible for:

We are looking for a self-starter, who grows in a busy and exciting environment. You will be in a critical role to build, transform and automate data solutions to deliver new business insights.

• Take part in our BI & Analytics strategy execution including the data lake getting data from a wide number of internal and external data sources.
• Use your deep technical skills and extensive knowledge in collaboration with other data professionals to build a modern data platform architecture based on Microsoft Azure technologies
• Establish monitoring and early identification of issues in the data pipeline
• Help us take the next step towards a more advanced data foundation by creating modeled and curated data sets including data lineage
• Get involved in high profile initiatives to assist in defining the right data flow architecture and deliver tangible results quickly
• Gather and supply data to the organization to support better data driven decision making

What we value:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Business Intelligence, Information Technology or similar is advantageous
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a Software engineering role with focus on data, including delivering production ready Lakehouse or Datawarehouse solutions at enterprise level
• Experience in building, and optimizing data pipelines, architecture and data models
• Experience with one or more of ADF, DBT, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, SQL, DataBricks, DAX and PowerBI
• Experience with Data governance and Data catalog using tools such as Microsoft Purview
• Experience in working with cloud providers, preferable Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and tools and techniques for modelling (Star schema etc.) and transforming data in these.
• Experience with at least one of the following languages – Python, Scala, Spark or SQL
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skill, able to build relationships across levels and functions globally
• Good communication skills, fluent in spoken and written English
• High performer providing honest and reliable feedback and high-quality solutions on time
• Amenable to work in EMEA hours (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM PHT)
