We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to provide administrative support to US-based doctors, nurses, or other healthcare professionals in their clinical practice.

This is a Work-from-home opportunity.

This is a full-time position, 30/40 hrs a week

The rate is $7 an hour or Php 45,000 to Php 61,000+ per month

A Medical Biller plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations in a medical facility. Their responsibilities often include but not limited to:

• Review and process claims for submission to insurance carriers (electronic and paper).
• Monitor and manage outstanding claims through aging reports (30/60/90/120+ days).
• Conduct timely and effective insurance follow-up on unpaid or denied claims.
• Resolve denials by researching issues, contacting payers, and submitting corrected claims or appeals.
• Communicate with payers, patients, and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Post insurance and patient payments, including adjustments and denials, accurately.
• Ensure patient responsibility is correctly identified and billed when applicable.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, billing regulations, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Document all actions taken on accounts in the billing system.
• Meet departmental goals for claim resolution and days in A/R.

Requirements and skills

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing and AR follow-up, preferably in a multi-specialty or high-volume environment is required
• Extensive knowledge of Insurance Portals, Clearing House and/or Billing Systems, EHR/EMR Software
• Proficiency in reading EOBs/ERAs and understanding adjustment/denial codes (CARC/RARC).
• Familiarity with payer guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurances).
• Excellent English speaking skills (both oral and written proficiency)
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and/or G Suite and other technology tools
• Able to manage time effectively and efficiently
• Able to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and information
