Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the overall financial management of companies outsourcing fractional CFO to the FMCG industry. This includes overseeing the accounting department, developing and implementing financial strategies, and managing risks. The CFO also plays a crucial role in strategic planning, decision-making and management of an organization to ensure financial health and long-term sustainability.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Admin or a related field.
• Masters degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
• 10+ years of experience in a senior finance role.
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance, Advanced Degree is a PLUS FACTOR with highly desirable for executive roles.
• Professional Certifications (optional but highly preferred) : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership position.
• Proven track record in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), capital management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strategic leadership.
• Experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, rules and regulations in relation to financial objectives and assessments of key performance indicators.
• Responsible to efficiently develop annual budgets and other short and long term financial plans and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance.
• Performs risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
• Review performance of the team members and coaches, develop and motivate people within the department.
• Reviews and ensures that company adheres to comply with tax authorities and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitor business performance, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for management team, and rest of company.
• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the established framework, addressing operational, financial, strategic, and reputational risks.
• Monitor and evaluate risk mitigation strategies to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
• Maintain a governance framework to support informed risk-related decision-making.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance across the organization.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance understanding of risk management, data privacy, and safety protocols.
