Job Responsibilities in Accounting Technology Assurance:

• Evaluate and Test Accounting Systems:
• Conduct evaluations and tests of accounting software, systems, and technology platforms to ensure compliance with industry regulations such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GDPR, and other accounting standards.
• Ensure accounting systems are operating securely, accurately, and in line with financial reporting requirements.
• Perform Risk Assessments in Financial Systems:
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments on financial systems, applications, and technology infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities in accounting processes, transaction tracking, and data integrity.
• Identify potential gaps in technology controls that could expose financial data to errors or fraud.
• Assess and Improve IT Governance in Accounting:
• Work closely with clients to evaluate and improve their IT governance frameworks, ensuring robust controls are in place for accounting operations, including internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance management.
• Advise on best practices for financial technology systems to align with industry-specific standards and legal requirements.
• Audit and Review of IT and Accounting Systems:
• Conduct detailed audits of accounting information systems, financial reporting tools, and infrastructure, focusing on system integrity, data protection, and access controls.
• Review and test internal controls related to financial transactions, accounting records, and automated processes to detect weaknesses in the financial IT ecosystem.
• Develop and Implement Assurance Programs:
• Assist in creating and implementing technology assurance programs that focus on accounting software, cybersecurity measures, and financial data integrity.
• Implement internal controls to ensure financial systems are secure, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Prepare Audit Reports and Documentation:
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings from audits, risk assessments, and system reviews, along with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Provide thorough documentation to support compliance with financial and accounting regulations.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance Teams:
• Work with both the technology and finance teams to ensure that IT operations meet the requirements of accounting departments, focusing on financial system availability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate on projects involving new accounting software or system updates to ensure smooth integration and compliance.
• Support in Client Audits and Assurance Reviews:
• Provide support during internal and external audits, including financial audits, IT assurance reviews, and regulatory inspections related to accounting technologies.
• Assist clients in preparing for audits by reviewing and ensuring their accounting systems meet the necessary compliance standards.
• Design IT Risk Mitigation Strategies for Financial Systems:
• Help design and implement IT risk mitigation strategies that protect financial data, ensure transaction accuracy, and prevent fraud within accounting technologies.
• Focus on securing accounting applications, integrating cybersecurity practices, and addressing potential financial data breaches.
• Stay Current on Trends in Accounting Technology:
• Continuously monitor and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting accounting systems and IT assurance.
• Ensure knowledge of new compliance standards, software updates, and cybersecurity threats affecting accounting platforms and systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• 13th month salary
