Financial Analyst

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree

• Relevant Experience or Degree in: Accounting, Finance or related degree or qualifying certification (CPA, CMA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA Certification)

• Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp

• Related professional accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Hyperion Financial Management, and Hyperion Planning a plus

• CPA/CMA candidate or other relevant certification preferred

• Skills / Knowledge - Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

• Job Complexity - Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.

• Supervision - Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

• Microsoft Office - Proven experience in the use of systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Prepares and coordinates financial performance analysis and reports for budget, forecast and strategic plans.

• Prepares and assists with operational performance reporting for monthly business unit key management meetings. Maintains and contributes to business unit dashboard reports and other standard management information, ensuring data integrity in compilation of reports.

• Assists the Corporate Budget Office and Business Unit (BU) leaders during the annual budget process. 

• Provides annual budget instruction and information to Line of Business (LOB) leadership to support decision-making, as directed. Monitors budget performance by reviewing and analyzing actual expenditures and budget variances, and takes appropriate corrective action as required. 

• Researches billing issues and provides recommendations to routine billing queries from clients; writes code in database to pass billing feeds to Corporate Finance partners, as directed. 

• Prepares and supports budget/forecast variance analysis to aid management and executive planning and decision making.

• Maintains compliance levels of low-mid value physical/software assets and licensing by utilizing an inventory management system to assess, monitor, reconcile, and decommission inventory. Prepares the forecast of product usage/end of life/refresh trends and may work with licensing to ensure contract compliance.

• Communicates effectively with business leaders as needed. Responds to questions and/or issues and escalates as needed to more senior analysts. 

• Gathers information from various areas within the LOB to assist in developing strategic plans which may include revenue and revenue driver, costs of revenue, G&A expenses to develop financial forecasts.
