Learning and Development Manager

Jod Description:Ensures the proper orientation and performance evaluation of all newly hired employees based on company policies and guidelines. Reviews and/or conducts training needs analysis and reviews and co-facilitates in-house training modules/ programs.Recommends training programs based on training needs analysisSupervises the preparation of the training calendar for the supervisor, staff, production workers, and Sales personnel. Coordinates with other divisions/departments in the implementation of HR Programs.

Ensures the preparation of all training requirements before the conduct of the training program (budget, memo, training materials, hand-outs, certificates of attendance, venue, food, and accommodation). Ensures effective implementation and execution of training and development activities designed for ALL Divisions. Ensures that the implemented HR processes comply with the documented procedures (HR Manual)Oversees the continuous improvement projects from initiation to completion, including defining project scope, objectives, and timeliness.

Submits reports on Training and Development and other related data as requested by immediate superior. Manages and ensures the compliance of ISO 22000:2018 (clause 7.2 Competence) in respective sections. Evaluate and approves requests for purchasing of materials and supplies for HR Learning and Development Section and personnel usage.

Reviews manpower requirements of the sections existing set-up, and as deemed necessary, and with top managements approval, prepares written formalities for the request of additional personnel under his department. Evaluate and appraise personnels work performance according to set standards and criteria and discuss key areas of improvement with the said personnel; recommend promotion, demotion, or termination of appraised personnel. Reviews and endorses or approves accounting (PCV, PRF, other reimbursements) and time keeping (attendance, application for leave, missed punch in/out certification, overtime, undertime, permit to pass) files, and others (passes, permits, etc.) of direct reports.

Ensures that supervised staff members are adequately trained and cross-trained; identifies training needs, with the Human Resources department, to achieve high working standards; and motivates subordinates to make use of their full potentials. Conducts casual or formal meetings with staff to monitor progress of projects and tasks, discuss problems, find and implement solutions and corrective actions, and, if applicable, establish goals and improvements for the next endeavors. Fosters and maintains healthy employee relationship within the department and outside the area of responsibility, and initiates proper and fair discipline among subordinates.
