Required Skills & ExperienceBachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Law/ Legal Management4+ years of experience within the banking/financial services sector or similar public accounting experience in the financial services industry
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Knowledge of auditing techniques and approaches in the financial services industry would be an advantage
An ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a global audit team across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.Willing to work from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm with three days work in the office
Major DutiesConduct and document low or moderate risk audits throughout the Corporation.Demonstrates professional scepticism and comfort with questioning how certain processes are being performed in order to facilitate making improvements.Assists in finalizing the planning documents.Documents walkthrough process flows
Executes audit test procedures, and applies analytical skills to review information, perform assessments of the audit results, and evaluate the adequacy of controls. KnowledgeKnowledge of audit procedures and standards usually obtained through related work experience and a four year degree program is required. Has a comprehensive understanding of the Audit Services Internal Audit Charter, Policy and Methodology and adheres to all applicable requirements within those documents.
Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures that relate to auditing/accounting standards and analytical skills are necessary to prepare audits. Knowledge of the operations, functions, and objectives of interfacing areas is required to properly audit operations, services, systems, workflow, and operational impact on other areas. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
