PearlPay is an all-Filipino owned Fintech company in the Philippines that provides end-to-end digital banking solutions. Our company is working towards better financial inclusion, helping rural banks and financial institutions transition digitally, connecting the banking and payment industries in the Philippines to make financial services universally accessible to Filipinos. JOB DESCRIPTIONAssist the Chief Legal Counsel in ensuring timely and correct compliance with the different regulatory bodies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Securities and Exchange Commission, Anti-Money Laundering Council, and Data Privacy Commission, among others.
Develop and manage a process-driven framework for the company's audit strategy, documentation, and remit to regulatory compliance; ensures ongoing monitoring and review - to fraud monitoring, compliance requirements with customers, etc. Work closely with the company's Onboarding team, Chief Legal Counsel, and customers in overseeing compliance procedures and advise them on risk management. Manage issues and escalations with colleagues; recommends further due diligence where required.
Enforce due diligence for prospective partners; liaises with fellow Officers to ensure the ongoing compliance of existing business partners. Engage and educate the company employees in the different fields of compliance that the company, its customers, and the fintech industry are required. QUALIFICATIONSWith a strong knowledge of best practices to implement and enforce the company's policies, compliance with different regulatory agencies.
Proven experience in corporate compliance, preparation of documents, and submission of these documents in the different government agencies. Proven experience having worked with a financial institution or other regulated business, such as banks, lending companies, or financial technology. Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Proven business and operational experience. Good organizational skills. Accredited in business, accounting, law, or similar discipline from a recognized body or institution would be desirable.
