We are an Australian owned top 200 ASX listed financial services firm head quartered in the Sydney CBD. We operate globally with offices in Australia, New Zealand, USA and the Philippines. 

We are looking to recruit a number of analysts to a newly formed division in our Philippine's Makati office to support the group analytics function. Group analytics is responsible for all analytic functions of the company including pricing of debt contracts, asset management, business insight/reporting, data warehousing, consumer credit underwriting, and loans marketing support. 

Duties and responsibilities include: 

1. Using a variety of data analysis tools to interpret and report on data 
2. Assist with building new datasets to be used in analysis
3. Proactively suggesting improvement in the company's processes or approaches based on their findings 
4. Reporting on past events, issues and trends so that other employees can learn from them.
5. Acting as a liaison between different departments within the organisation
6. Testing out new BI tools or analytics techniques to find better ways of analysing data 

Hard and soft skills required include: 

1. Strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques and receptive to new mathematical concepts
2. The ability to communicate complex information effectively in report form in English. 
3. Familiarity with common software tools used for big data analysis. Must have solid programming experience in SAS, SQL or Python.
4. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using spreadsheets and dashboards. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
6. 2+ years of commercial experience.
7. Tertiary qualification in mathematics, statistics, computer science, econometrics, or related fields
