Job Summary : The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible overseeing the entire flow of goods, from receiving to storage and shipping, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely delivery while managing inventory, staff, and costs. The manager is also responsible for leading the logistics team and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

Experience : Proven experience in warehouse & logistics management with at least 5 years in a managerial role in the food industry.

Special Skills :

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

· Knowledge of transportation management, inventory control, and logistics processes.

· Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all activities within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.

2. Ensure proper organization of inventory, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring safe storage practices.

3. Implement best practices to streamline warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency.

4. Monitor the condition of warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance for repairs as needed.

5. Develop and implement strategies for efficient transportation and distribution of goods.

6. Coordinate with transportation carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective solutions.

7. Track shipments and ensure deliveries are made on time and in compliance with customer requirements.

8. Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts.

9. Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure that inventory is replenished timely to meet demand.

10. Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse and logistics staff, ensuring that they follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

11. Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.

12. Promote a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.

13. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and logistics activities such as order fulfillment rates, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency.

14. Prepare and present regular reports on logistics and warehouse performance to management.

15. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.

16. Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping and delivery issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.

17. Handle any customer complaints related to shipping or warehouse operations, ensuring timely resolution.
