This is a hybrid role which benefits the candidate to work in partnership with the Kerry Regulatory and Development and Applications teams to support regulatory queries from internal and external stakeholders and sampling and sensory requests.

Location : BGC, METRO MANILA

Reporting to : RD, Regulatory Scientific & Affairs Manager

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with relevant parties to complete Halal certification documentation for NPI locally manufactured products (IDCP and MUI).
• Ensure timely amendments and notifications for Halal authority approval regarding supplier and ingredient changes, per the Halal Assurance System.
• Renew Halal certification for existing active products with IDCP and MUI.
• Maintain the Cerol system database for MUI certified products.
• Assist with notifications, permits, and clearances applications with FDA, BPI, BAI, and other government agencies.
• Handle technical documentation requests in SFDC for Batangas products.
• Create labels for manufactured products and coordinate with stakeholders for approval.
• Create and maintain files for government permits, licenses, and regulatory documents.
• Liaise with RD&A, QA, and Operations for technical documentation reviews.
• Perform duties assigned by superiors, such as queries, projects, audits, and regulation updates.
• Manage the Manila sample queue, ensuring timely sample dispatch as per customer requirements.
• Ensure samples from other queues reach customers in the Philippines on time by coordinating with other sample coordinators.
• Manage lab raw materials, ensuring no expired materials and proper labeling (with BBD), following the RD&A dotting system.
• Manage RD&A consumables and raw materials at the RD&A warehouse to maintain agreed stock levels and prevent shortages affecting project delivery.
• Support sensory evaluations by preparing samples correctly and sharing results with scientists.
• Assist the RD&A team with sample preparation, especially larger quantities needed in the lab and for RM use.
• Support the RD&A team with EUM applications, internal tastings, and customer presentations.

Qualifications and skills

• Degree holder in Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in food industry in Regulatory, QA or RD&A.
• Executes against functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and Good Laboratory Practices
• Basic Knowledge on Sensory Analysis.
• Responsible for some projects and able to provide input to more complex projects.
• Has developing regulatory knowledge associated with the food industry.
• Ability to perform in a team environment.
• Possess good co-operation / communication / presentation / interpersonal and organization skills
