A Supply Chain Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end flow of goods, services, information, and finances within a supply chain. Their goal is to ensure that products or services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time to meet customer demands. This role involves strategic planning, problem-solving, and collaboration across multiple departments and stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.
• Extensive knowledge of customs practices and importation processes.

• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to various challenges.
• Strong ability to perform detailed procedures in time-constrained environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop demand forecasts to align production and supply with customer needs.
• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for delivery times, costs, and customer satisfaction.
• Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions, focusing on strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPI achievement to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Plan inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
• Manage sourcing and purchasing of raw materials or products.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for favorable terms.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
• Ensure production schedules align with delivery timelines.
• Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution of goods.
• Optimize routes and shipping methods to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions or shortages.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
• Use software tools (e.g., ERP systems, supply chain management software) to monitor and streamline operations.
• Analyze data to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Implement practices that reduce environmental impact, such as sustainable sourcing or minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency.
• Serves as a member of the operations staff, regularly reporting on departmental KPIs with detailed analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
• Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of materials and supplies to meet fluctuating product demand levels.
• Collaborates with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to establish and manage intercompany transfers.
• Works directly with the sales department to identify the most cost-effective distribution solutions for transporting finished goods to customers.
• Monitors and adjusts inventory levels at third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and internal locations to ensure proper stock rotation and maximize working capital.
• Coordinates with freight forwarders and transportation companies to determine the best routes and rates, reviewing and approving all freight terms and agreements.
• Collaborates with the procurement department to establish best practices for freight management, including inbound freight and freight consolidation.
• Supports the proper utilization of ERP systems (e.g., Planning Edge, Accellos)
