Lead Angular Developer

We are looking for a Lead Angular Developer to join our growing development team in Manila. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled frontend engineer with strong backend integration experience, who is ready to take ownership of complex projects and lead junior developers. You must have hands-on experience with Angular, Polymer, AWS Lambda, and Express.js, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications using Angular and Polymer

  • Architect modular and scalable frontend components with a focus on performance and user experience

  • Integrate frontend with backend services using Express.js and AWS Lambda functions

  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers

  • Guide and mentor a team of developers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the stack

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend relevant tools or frameworks

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with 2+ years in a lead role

  • Proficient in Angular (v9+) and Polymer (LitElement a plus)

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3

  • Backend integration experience using Node.js with Express.js

  • Experience building and deploying AWS Lambda functions (Node.js runtime)

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

  • Solid version control using Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus

  • Excellent problem-solving and team leadership skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with other modern JS frameworks (e.g., React, Vue)

  • Familiarity with Docker, serverless architectures, and API Gateways

  • Previous work in a startup or agile environment
