General Manager

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our cold chain logistics operations—transportation, warehousing, and inventory management—while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and product integrity. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership skills, and deep industry expertise to optimize performance and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize cold chain logistics operations. Provide visionary leadership to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and innovation. Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure cold chain strategies are aligned with overall business goals.

Operational Excellence Oversee day-to-day operations—including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management—ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. Implement best practices for cold-storage warehousing and refrigerated transportation. Set, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Optimize processes to reduce costs while enhancing operational efficiency. Customer Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders by understanding their unique needs and delivering exceptional service. Address customer concerns promptly and proactively seek feedback to enhance service quality.

Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Regulatory Compliance Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure the company complies with all relevant standards, permits, certifications, and licenses. Implement and maintain quality management systems to meet regulatory requirements.

Financial Management Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for cold chain operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. Team Leadership and Development Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of cold chain professionals.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and development. Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and monitor progress toward goals. Conduct regular performance evaluations and deliver constructive feedback.

Technology Integration Evaluate and implement advanced technologies and systems to enhance tracking, monitoring, and reporting capabilities within the cold chain. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors / Masters Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred) Managerial experience of at least 10 years AND proven experience (ideally 5+ years) in cold chain logistics, with a strong understanding of temperature-controlled storage, transportation, and distribution processes Demonstrated success in a leadership role within the logistics industry and with high integrity Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality management systems Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strategic thinker with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment Meticulous and possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills Technology savvy and well versed with digital solutions (Microsoft Office Suite) and ERPs #J-18808-Ljbffr
