About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Draftsman to join our team remotely and support an Australian cabinetry and joinery company. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Mozaic and Cabinet Vision, with the ability to produce accurate shop drawings, 3D renderings, and cut lists for residential and commercial cabinetry projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify detailed shop drawings, plans, and 3D models using Mozaic and Cabinet Vision.

  • Prepare accurate cut lists, nesting layouts, and CNC-ready files.

  • Interpret architectural drawings and translate them into precise cabinetry and joinery designs.

  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production teams in Australia to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Review designs for accuracy, compliance with Australian standards, and material efficiency.

  • Maintain clear documentation and version control of all project files.

  • Provide technical support and resolve drafting-related queries throughout project execution.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Draftsman in cabinetry, joinery, or woodworking industries.

  • Proficiency in Mozaic and Cabinet Vision (required).

  • Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, cabinetry hardware, and Australian building/joinery standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design plans.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to coordinate with Australian teams.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects remotely.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Australian clients or within the cabinetry/joinery sector in Australia.

  • Knowledge of other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or SolidWorks).

  • Familiarity with CNC machinery setup and optimization.
