Treasury Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Treasury Specialist who will be essential for ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations. This position involves a range of tasks, including organizing the payment request orders from various business units and returning the relevant payment document(s) to them, as well as assisting in business units banking requirements such as checking bank balances, preparing transactions for approval, etc. The Treasury Specialist is also expected to prepare relevant bank transaction reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and summarize the payment request orders from various business units

  • Receive the payment slips and return these to various business units respective approval systems

  • Prepare the cash in/out transactions report

  • Assist in making overseas banks transactions

  • Assist in downloading bank statements from local/overseas banks

  • Assist in document collection of bank account opening/closing

  • Follow up the payment status with the bank

  • Prepare bank transaction-related reports and reconciliation

  • Assist in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives

  • Maintain proper documentation and archiving of financial records

  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Finance or related fields

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a treasury role having extensively handled bank transactions (those with more experience may be considered for a supervisor role)

  • Highly proficient in using office productivity tools (MS Excel/Word/Outlook); demonstrated advanced MS Excel skills are preferred

  • Aptitude for logical and analytical thinking; capable of thinking “outside the box” and providing innovative solutions while strictly adhering to company policies and standards

  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks and responsibilities; can work independently and proactively (self-starter) and meet deadlines

  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and negotiations; able to manage expectations of superiors and teammates and work effectively in a team environment

  • Positive work attitude (can-do mindset) and able to deliver under pressure; can stay focused and organized despite competing demands

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Mandarin/Cantonese fluency is a plus but not required.

  • Must be willing to work onsite

  • Priority will be given to those who are immediately available to start working
