We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Material Planning Specialist to join our team.

The Role in Action

As a Material Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in forecasting material needs, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and supporting production planning and supply chain efficiency. Your expertise in data analysis, market trends, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will drive accurate material planning and enhance business operations. We are looking for a highly analytical professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate material forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and production teams to gather input and adjust material forecasts accordingly.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Support production planning and supply chain planning by aligning material forecasts with production schedules and procurement strategies.
• Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key material planning metrics to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve forecasting models and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to drive operational excellence and cost savings.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
• Create and issue accurate purchase orders to suppliers
• Confirm order details with suppliers, including quantities, delivery dates, and terms.
• Track and monitor PO status to ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and supplier dependencies.
• Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity during supply chain challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in material planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in material forecasting tools, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with material planning software and statistical forecasting techniques is a plus.

Terms of Engagement:

• Fully remote
• Equipment provided by the candidate
• Night shift (Pacific Standard Hours)
• 40 hours per week
• Pay: $5/hour
