Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced full-time Backend developer to help build out a range of internal & external facing systems & web services. This role will need to extend our existing foundation with new features and abilities, as well as maintain and improve existing functionality. This is a highly distributed system and requires coding experience with SOAP/REST API's and language skills aligned with Codeigniter, Laravel, etc., and patterns. This role will have a direct impact on company growth, working closely with the business to improve existing systems and build out the next generation of products that our clients & customers will interact with. TEMPORARY WORK FROM HOME We will provide all the equipment needed for the job. Responsibilities Build and extend internal and external facing systems and web services. Maintain and improve existing functionality and architecture. Work in a highly distributed system environment with experience in SOAP/REST APIs. Contribute to the foundation with new features, patterns, and best practices. Collaborate with business teams to identify and deliver solutions that support growth. Qualifications At least a bachelor of IT or equivalent. At least 3 years experience in PHP programming. Experience in backend data services and expanding data services APIs (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.NET) and familiarity with common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, eBay, etc.). Experience with backend frameworks such as CodeIgniter and Laravel 5.4 and higher. Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc. Knowledge of MySQL and Linux. Experienced with AI development tools. Excellent knowledge of relational databases, database design, version control tools, and developing web services.
