Clinical Assistant (US Healthcare)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Assistant to support our Clinical and Quality Teams in managing patient care documentation and compliance. The role involves assisting with care coordination tasks, tracking and following up on physician orders, obtaining discharge summaries, and ensuring complete, accurate records. Strong communication skills, healthcare documentation experience, and the ability to work effectively with teams and physician offices are essential.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist Clinical Coordinators with tasks related to patient care such as care coordination, order tracking, and filing.

• Assist to obtain discharge summaries for hospitalized patients

• Follow up on un-signed MD orders

• Communicate as needed to coordination team to ensure regulatory compliance is met related to MD orders.

• Assist Quality Team to achieve compliance with complete records by tracking missed paperwork and following up as needed with Registered Nurses

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Detail oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated.

• Strong interpersonal skills - verbal and written communication

• Phone and computer skills

• Ability to navigate software programs including Microsoft Office Suite, AMS System (HHAExchange), and Sales Force

• Ability to work 9-5 East Coast Time, USA (necessary for calling MD offices)

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of High School (Primary) Education

• Minimum of 2 years experience in health care records management or care coordination

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) - 9am to 6pm
