The Plant Engineer - Electrical is responsible in providing specialist technical support and diagnostics for the Plant's electrical system & equipment's electrical component. The role is also responsible for the troubleshooting and execution of maintenance either preventive or corrective for the Plant's electrical system & equipment's electrical component.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations

• Oversees the start-up, operation, shut-down of the electrical system & the back-up electrical generator • Performs the set-up and operational inspection of electronic inspection and coding instruments • Provide 1st level maintenance support to electrical system, back-up electrical generator, electronic inspection, coding instrument, equipment's electrical component in the event of equipment failures • Provide specialist technical support, diagnostics and corrective action recommendation for the equipment's electrical component and electrical facilities • Manage backup lists of electrical safety device settings and parameters in the area of responsibility and keep to date the existing single line electrical diagrams • Performs monitoring and filled in all relevant log sheets and immediately feedback superior for any observe parameter deviation

2. Maintenance Execution

• Execute planned, corrective, break-in work , condition based and predictive maintenance
• Assess and recommends respective lifespan, lead times and stock levels for electrical spare parts and consumables

• Assess and recommends appropriate maintenance instructions to equipment's electrical component and electrical facilities • Maintenance and repairs carried out as per works order meeting all the quality requirements • Jobs prioritized to maximize product quality and plant availability • Information collated, documented and feedback provided to relevant customers. • Perform faultfinding and a structured break down analysis on failed components • Carry out new project/equipment installations within expected time frames when assigned

3. Others • Coaching and Mentoring of assigned apprentices (Trainees for upskilling/leveling/cross posting) • Implement Continuous improvement projects on equipment and maintenance system • Flexibility in job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned, including redeployment to other department/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs • Participate, Develop and execute actions that contributes and ensures the fulfillment of the norms ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000:2005 and the norms that applied for the system improvements

Position Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience in Electrical Facilities related position in a manufacturing, industrial and utility environment preferably food manufacturing or FMCG
• Graduate of Electrical Engineering or any related Technology & Engineering field

• Knowledgeable on the Electrical and Electronics safety practices and standard • Basic knowledge on Project Management • With experienced in handling improvement projects • Experience in process engineering • Work request process • Work order cycle process • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • With basic knowledge on RCA tools: 5 Whys and BDA • With basic understanding of HIRA (Hazard identification and Risk Assessment) • Preferably with NCII Electrical Certification or Registered Master Electrician /Electrical Engineer/Professional Electrical Engineer
