Job Summary:
The Asst. Branch Head. Store Manager / Asst is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and a seamless shopping experience. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, achieving sales targets, and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Profitability:
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement action plans to improve performance.
- Monitor and control expenses to maintain profitability.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure a high standard of customer service is provided at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the team.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
- Schedule and manage employee shifts to optimize productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to support staff development.
- Foster a positive and motivated work environment.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the purchasing team to replenish stock as needed.
- Minimize inventory shrinkage by implementing security measures and conducting regular audits.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure the store is visually appealing, clean, and organized to attract customers.
- Implement merchandising standards and promotional displays as per company guidelines.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the store complies with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a secure shopping environment.
- Address any operational issues promptly to minimize risks.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance to management.
- Communicate updates, policies, and goals to the store team effectively.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, IT or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and operational targets.
- Solid background in corporate sales is a plus
- Handling multiple accounts is a plus
- With existing corporate clients and accountsis a plus
- Knowledgeable in government bidding is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using retail management software and MS Office tools.
- Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Certifications:
- Certifications in retail management or customer service are an advantage.
